Death From Above 1979 Unveil New Album Tracks, Tour
Ten years after the release of their first and only full-length album You’re a Woman, I’m Machine, Death From Above 1979 will release their long-desired sophomore album, The Physical World, on September 9 through Last Gang Records.
The album was produced by D. Sardy, whose previous credits include Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother, and Oasis. “Trainwreck 1979,” the first single from the album, can be listened to below, or purchased through participating digital music retailers.
Fans can pre-order the album today in straight-up CD or Vinyl formats, as well as deluxe bundles (priced $34.99-$87.99) which can include autographs from DFA1979 members Sebastian Grainger and Jesse Keeler, a limited edition belt buckle, a t-shirt, stickers, and more.
In support of The Physical World, the band has announced a series of North American and European tour dates (scroll down for details). Tickets go on sale Friday, July 11.
Death From Above 1979 broke up in 2006, before reuniting in 2011 for a number of shows.
