The Bloody Nerve Seek Assistance After Suspicious Fire

Laurie Ann Layne and Stacey Blood of Nashville-based rock n’ roll collective, The Bloody Nerve, are attempting to pick up the pieces of their bloody-nerve-firelives this week after their residence was destroyed as a result of a suspicious fire.

The duo shared an apartment atop The V Tavern in Ashland City, which authorities believe may have caught fire as a result of someone setting a debris pile on fire just down the road. The investigation continues.

“On Friday morning [July 25] our apartment and studio burned to the ground in a very dangerous fire. Fortunately Laurie Ann and I barely made it out with our lives and that of our neighbours,” reads a Facebook posting by Stacey Blood. “It has been a very trying few days and we’re still traumatized but we are in the process of rebuilding our lives the best we can. As we only made it out with our lives, cats, and a few guitars, we can truly say we saved everything. We’ve starting putting our lives together again the best we can and we will keep you posted.”

Blood has also noted that he and Layne are suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome and that they had zero insurance to speak of.

As a result, they’ve launched a Go Fund Me campaign to help them get back on their feet. If you’re able to pledge anything, you can do so right here.

In true rock n’ roll fashion, Blood states that this incident will not affect the release of The Bloody Nerve’s forthcoming LP.
