Blink-182 is in the Studio…We Think
During an interview with Billboard in July, Blink-182 bassist and vocalist, Mark Hoppus, it was revealed that the band (which now includes Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio) would enter the studio in August.
Well, this talk of new recording sessions appears to have been confirmed by Hoppus after Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz took to Twitter and asked the Blink-182er: “New music soon?” Hoppus’ response was simple: “In the studio today.”
For the fun of it, let’s all jump to conclusions and assume that a Blink-182 album is in the works.
“It’s something I would be very excited to do and I’ve known the Blink guys for about fifteen years and we’ve become good friends,” recently commented Skiba when asked about the possibility of becoming a permanent member of Blink-182. “Playing songs I haven’t written with Mark and Travis is a blast, so to go in and create music with them would be amazing.”
@petewentz in the studio today.
