Billy Talent Premiere Snippet of New Music
In late 2014, Billy Talent released their Hits package with a pair of new tracks, “Kingdom of Zod” and “Chasing the Sun.” While both prove that the band are still on the right path artistically, they also made fans wonder when an official follow-up to 2012’s Dead Silence would arrive.
Well, earlier this week on the Billy Talent Instagram account, a brief clip of guitarist Ian D’Sa working on – as he exclaims at the end of the clip – “new music!” reached the public.
A few seconds of audio can be heard here and although there’s not enough here to deeply analyze, at least now there’s proof that a new album is in the works.
“We’re trying branch out and have fun,” said Billy Talent drummer Aaron Solowoniuk in an interview with Riffyou.com last autumn. “We’re all turning 40 in [2015], and with us getting into our forties, I’m excited to see where things go as a band. We just want to make better records as we get older.”
