Arcade Fire Releasing “The Reflektor Tapes” Film
As Arcade Fire take a breather following its very impressive Reflektor album and tour, comes word that the band’s first feature film is en route.
“Arcade Fire will release their first feature film, The Reflektor Tapes, in theatres worldwide on September 24th for a limited time,” reads a statement. “Directed by 2013 Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Short Films winner Kahlil Joseph, The Reflektor Tapes will be a unique cinematic experience, meeting at the crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history.”
Earlier today, a corresponding film trailer and website were available, but have both since been pulled. However, a number of images of The Reflektor Tapes have surfaced thanks to the folks at Arcade Fire Tube.
Judging by the imagery available, the films looks like a behind the scenes view of how Reflektor came to be.
