Alice Glass Exits Crystal Castles
Alice Glass, one-half of the Toronto-based electronic duo Crystal Castles, has revealed that she’s leaving the group. The 
announcement was made earlier this morning through her Twitter account.
“I am leaving Crystal Castles,” began Glass’ series of tweets. “My art and my self-expression in any form has always been an attempt towards sincerity, honesty, and empathy for others. For a multitude of reasons both professional and personal I no longer feel that this is possible within [Crystal Castles]. Although this is the end of the band, I hope my fans will embrace me as a solo artist in the same way they have embraced Crystal Castles.”
Although Glass stated that this is the end of the band, we’ve yet to hear from the other side of Crystal Castles, Ethan Kath. Until then, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to think that he may keep the project going with someone else.
In 10 years together, Glass and Kath released three albums together, along with a bunch of remixes. They also performed at a number of highly reputable festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Leeds, Reading, Big Day Out, and Bonnaroo.
