Alabama Shakes Jam At Prince’s Place, with Prince
Alabama Shakes took a quick detour on its current tour to play a last minute show at Paisley Park in Minneapolis. Yes, as in Paisley Park Studios, the place in which Prince records albums, videos and keeps his creative craziness housed.
According to social media accounts of the performance, Alabama Shakes was joined by Prince during its set for Sound & Color‘s “Gimme All Your Love.” Word has it that Prince ripped a 15-minute guitar part on the track.
“You don’t want to disappoint people, but you also don’t want to disappoint yourself by putting out something that is the same as your last album. In order to make this fun for ourselves, we have to be happy with what we’re putting out,” said Alabama Shakes bassist, Zac Cockrell of Sound & Color‘s direction during an interview with Riffyou.com. “There are people who are going to say, ‘well, this didn’t do it for me,’ but I also think that we’ll gain some people that are looking for something interesting and not the same.”
Here’s some evidence of last night’s events:

Prince randomly hopping on stage and shredding guitar for a solid 15 minutes with Alabama Shakes was beyond epic. #AlabamaShakes #Prince
