Watch 8 Great Glastonbury 2015 Moments
Over the weekend, Glastonbury took over the UK and bands from across many lands came in and entertained the sun- and mud-drenched audiences. As sad as it was for Riffyou.com not to be there, we were watching from a distance – thanks to the beautifully shot footage courtesy of BBC. Here are eight great Glastonbury moments worth sharing.
Florence + The Machine: “Times Like These” (Foo Fighters Cover)
After replacing Foo Fighters as the Friday headliner, Florence + The Machine paid tribute to Dave Grohl and company with a stirring rendition of “Times Like These.”
Dalai Lama Celebrates 80th Birthday with Patti Smith and Glastonbury Crowd
While we are not here to push any particular chunk of religious beliefs, the crowd singing “Happy Birthday” to Dalai Lama is quite the scene.
Lionel Richie: “Dancing on the Ceiling”
Ha! Keep an eye out for the choreographed dance routine from the security guards.
Mark Ronson: “Uptown Funk” (w/ Grandmaster Flash, Mary J. Blige and George Clinton)
Bruno Mars may not have been there, but Mark Ronson pulled out some amazing other stops for a massive performance of “Uptown Funk.”
Future Islands: “Seasons (Waiting on You)”
If the dance moves and facial expressions of frontman Gerrit Welmers don’t get you, his flashy shirt will.
The Libertines: “Don’t Look Back into the Sun”
Surprise! No one knew this performance was coming.
Enter Shikari: “Torn Apart”
Enter Shikari is huge in Europe and this appearance of “Torn Apart” shows us all that this band is capable of world domination.
Benjamin Booker: “Violent Shiver”
If you have not given Benjamin Booker the time of day yet, firstly, what’s wrong with you? Secondly, here’s your chance. Please take advantage – thanks!
